Scope and Sequence
At Villanova College, continuity in the Religion Curriculum is ensured within and between year levels, building on where students’ learning in Religion is situated and leading onto where the students are heading in their learning. The Checklist for Planning includes instructions regarding referring to the scope and sequence, not only of the current year level, but of those they year before and after. There is also a clear focus on the line of sight in year level planning: Year Level Description, Achievement Standard and Content Descriptions as evidenced in the planning template used for RE.
The content of the strands and sub-strands of the Religion Curriculum P-12 closely aligns with the components and elements of the Religious Life of the School P-12. This is evidenced in the attached Scope and Sequences for each year level which indicate where that alignment occurs in each unit of work.
