Pentecost, also called Whitsunday is a major festival in the Christian church

Pentecost is the festival when Christians celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit.

From a historical perspective, Christianity didn’t start with Jesus’ birth, his death or even his storied ascension to heaven. It started with Pentecost

Jesus sends the Holy Spirit to empower his disciples as they carry the good news of his kingdom to the nations of the world.

Acts of the Apostles, the second part of the work that begins with the Gospel According to Luke, is the story of the early church after Jesus’s martyrdom.

The genre of the book of Acts is Narrative History with several Sermons.

As implied by the title Acts of the Apostles, the 5th book in the gospel is a contemporaneous document of what the apostles did after Jesus’ resurrection.
