intro

In this unit and across the course, you have explored a wide range of literary texts, focusing on how writers manipulate aesthetic features, stylistic devices, text structures, form and style to prompt critical and emotional responses. Through writing exercise inspired by the texts studied, you have experimented with your own ideas to gain insight into the craft of writing. In particular, you have explored the ways in which reading and writing are interlinked, and how literary texts shape representations and perspectives to position audiences in relation to cultural assumptions, attitudes, values and beliefs.

You have employed a writing journal, developing editorial independence by using strategies for planning, drafting and refining your writing.
